McCANN (nee McDonnell), Mary Catherine (May) – R.I.P. Late of 45 Carricknagavna Road, Belleeks, Newry. Died peacefully, after a short illness, on 6th June 2025 at Southern Area Hospice, Newry, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Packie, loving mother of Siobhan (Keenan), Patricia (Garvey), Joseph and Gerard and the late Rosaleen and Mary. Sister of Gerard, Jimmy, Rosaleen (Nicholson), Bernadette (Henry) and the late Sean and Dan.

May’s remains will repose at McGennity’s Funeral Home, 18 Forkhill Road, Newry BT35 8LZ today (Saturday 7th June) from 4pm. Removal from the funeral home this evening at 7.15pm, arriving to St. Mary’s church, Mullaghbawn at 7.45pm for overnight repose. Requiem Mass will be celebrated tomorrow (Sunday 8th June) at 3pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Our Lady pray for her.

Deeply regretted by her daughters, sons, daughter-in-law Philomena, sons-in-law Michael-John, Michael and Sean, grandchildren Alan (Kate), Colm (Orla), Conor, Mark, Lauren (Gareth), Lisa, Ellen (Seannie), Rachel and great-grandchildren Patrick, Jack, Declan and Aidan, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, kind neighbours and friends and entire family circle.
