McCARTNEY John, September 5 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, (late of Great James Street), beloved husband of Maeve, loving father of Áine, John and Ashly, father-in-law to Brian and Naya, dear son of the late Harry and Mary, cherished brother of Martin, Noel, Peter and the late Mickey, Betty, Seamus and Tony and a devoted uncle to all his nephews and nieces and dedicated dog dad to Bailey.

John’s wake will be at the family home in Donegal on Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 9:00 pm. Funeral leaving there on Wednesday, September 9 at 9:00 a.m. to St. Columba’s Church, Long Tower for Requiem Mass at 10:00 a.m. followed by cremation in Lily Hill Crematorium, Letterkenny. St. Pio Pray for him. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to ward 31 Altnagelvin Hospital.
