The family of the late Liz Mc Closkey of 30 Killew Road, Cluntygerragh, Dungiven who died on the 23rd January 2022 would like to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised with them on their great loss.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the wake, service and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who telephoned, travelled long distances, sent cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful.

A special word of thanks to the Paramedics who attended Liz at home, to the Nurses, Doctors & Staff in A&E and Ward 24 at Altnagelvin Hospital, for their kindness and respect shown at all times. To the priests who attended and prayed for Liz in the hospital and at home; Fr Kelly PP, Fr Varghese, Fr McFaul & Fr O’Donnell.

A special thanks to Fr Kelly PP for his spiritual support, guidance and celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass. Thanks to Sinead McErlane for the beautiful singing, the church sacristan Annie Joe and all those who helped prepare the grave.

Final thanks to Deborah, Seamus & Eugene of Mc Laughlin’s Funeral Directors for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements.

To those who helped in any way, your contribution made our loss more bearable and brought us great comfort. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

The Month’s Mind Mass for Liz will be held on Saturday 26th February at 10am in St Patrick’s Church, Dungiven.

McCLOSKEY Liz died peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on the 23rd of January 2022, may she rest in peace. Late of 30 Killew Road, Cluntygeerragh, Dungiven, Co Derry.

Beloved daughter of the late Paul and Peggy R.I.P. Loving sister of Anne, Josephine, Margaret Kelly, Paul, Bridget Dougan, Patricia and the late infant John Anthony R.I.P. Devoted Auntie of Gary, Michelle, Ryan (Kelly) Chris, Brenda , Paddy, Ruaíri and the late baby Niall R.I.P (Dougan) Hannah (McCartney-Quigley) and the late recently deceased Mark (Petticrew) R.I.P. Loved also by her great nieces and nephews. Fond sister in law of Maurice, Leonard and Seamus and a cherished friend of many.

Viewing at McLaughlin’s Funeral Home this evening (Sunday) from 7pm to 9pm Leaving the funeral home at 9pm to repose at her late residence.

Funeral from her late residence on Wednesday 26th of January leaving at 12.15pm for 1pm Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick‘s Church Dungiven.
Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please and donations if desired in lieu to Dungiven & Feeny Committee for Cancer Research U.K c/o McLaughlin Funeral Directors Dungiven.

Deeply regretted and will be very sadly missed by all her loving family and the wider family circle. Our Lady of Knock, pray for her.
