The Family of the late Raymond Mc Connell would like to offer there sincere thanks to everyone that sympathised with them during their recent sad bereavement. To everyone that called to the house, offered prayers, attended the funeral, sent messages and cards we thank you dearly.
To all the staff of Altnagelvin hospital, in particular ward 40 and ward 41 Stoke ward for looking after Raymond with such compassion and care during his illness.
Also thanks to all the staff of North West care who looked after Raymond with great care at home for the last 18 years.
To Father Ignacy Sanivta for the beautiful requiem mass. Thank you
To Sarah McGarrity and Damien McAdams For the beautiful music and singing during Raymond’s requiem mass. Thank you.
To all at Carr family funeral directors for their professionalism and care in arranging every aspect of the funeral. Thank you.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation.
Raymond’s months mind mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Chapel, Creggan on Saturday 17th may at 6.30pm followed by light refreshments, tea and coffee at Raymond’s family home, 105 hatmore park.
Everyone is welcome.

McCONNELL Raymond, 11th April 2025 Peacefully at Altnagelvin hospital.
Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Tyre). Loving father of John Paul, Declan, Brenda and Karen. A Beloved grandfather and great grandfather, son of the late Ambrose and Phyllis. Dear brother to all his brothers and sisters.
Raymond will be reposing at his late home, 105 Hatmore Park from 12noon tomorrow Saturday. Funeral from there on Monday at 9.20am to St Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem mass at 10am. Interment afterwards in the city cemetery.
Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by all his family and everyone that knew him. Sacred heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Knock pray for him.
