We the family of the late Lena McCreesh R.I.P. Longfield Road, Forkhill wish to express our gratitude to all those who sympathise, called to the house with mass offerings, sympathy cards, telephoned, sent messages , posted condolences online, attended Lena’s funeral, sent wreaths and assisted in any way during the wake and funeral, this was greatly appreciated, we will forever remember your kindness.
A special word of thanks to NHS Care Team, Richard Garvey Pharmacy, District Nurses, Paramedics Staff, Mullaghbawn Doctors Surgery and all who treated Lena with dignity, expertise and compassion.
Special thanks to many neighbours and friends, Hughes Camlough,
Murphy’s Carickisticken, Johnny Murphy’s Meigh, Giggles Bessbrook,
Mullaghbawn CLG for providing food and equipment during the wake. To Tommy Rafferty who provided outside lighting.
Appreciation to Fr. Emlyn McGinn P.P. for his support and celebration of a meaningful and beautiful mass.
Traditional Arts Partnership for the music and singing, to Lena’s grandchildren who took part in the funeral mass and made it very personal.
Thank you to Traditional Arts Partnership and St Mary’s Primary School for providing A guard of honour.
Thanks to John and team at Joe’s Cafe, forkhill for providing refreshments after the funeral and Ti Chullan for the use of their premises.
A sincere thank you to Sean and Michael from M. McCreesh & Sons Funeral Directors and Lynn and Trevor Gass from Glenanne Carriage Hire who carried out wake and funeral arrangements with such expert care and attention to detail.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as an expression of our sincere gratitude by each and everyone who helped our family in any way.
Lena’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 7th January 2024 @ 10.30am in St Mary’s Church Mullaghbawn.

McCREESH (née McGeough) Lena – (Forkhill) December 11, 2023, (peacefully) at home surrounded by her loving family.
Lena, dearly beloved wife of Joe and cherished mother of Phyllis, Siobhan, Joseph, Roisin, Louise and Thomas. She will be dearly missed by her sons and daughters-in-law her devoted grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Reposing privately at her late home from Monday and open to visitors from Tuesday morning until her removal on Thursday December 14, at 11am for 12 Noon requiem mass in St Mary’s Church, Mullaghbawn. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private on the morning of the funeral for family and close friends only.
Lena will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her entire circle of family and friends, “May She Rest In Peace.”
