McDERMOTT Patrick Joseph (Paddy)Died 4th November 2023 in Antrim Area Hospital aged 95 years.

Beloved husband of the late Anna, and his second wife Jean (deceased). Father of Anne, Una, Sean, Patrick, Colum and Ciaran. Much cherished grandfather and great-grandfather. Lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, the entire family circle and his many friends.

Paddy’s remains will be reposing at O Kane’s Funeral Directors, 12 Portland Avenue, BT36 5EY, Telephone 02890 233133, until Wednesday 8th November 2023. Visitors are welcome to pay their respects from 10.00 am to 2.00 p.m.

Paddy’s remains will arrive at 71 Whitehouse Park at 6.30 and then process to the church to be received into Star of the Sea Church, Whitehouse, on Wednesday 8th November for a short Vigil for the Deceased at 7.00pm.

Requiem Mass will take place in Star of the Sea Whitehouse at 11.00 a.m. on Thursday 9th November 2023 followed by Burial afterwards in Carnmoney Cemetery. Mass can be viewed online at Church of St Mary, Star Of the Sea, Newtownabbey (churchmedia.tv)

Family flowers only. Donations in Lieu if so desired can be made payable to Trocaire c/o O’Kanes or online at www.okanesfuneralhome.co.uk.

As there are major roadworks in the vicinity of the church those attending the funeral should allow extra time for their journey
