The family of the late John McElkenny who passed away on 23rd May 2026 aged 57 years, wish to express their sincere gratitude to all whose who sympathised with them following their ecent bereavement.

We would like to thank our relatives, friends, neighbours and everyone who calledat the wake, attended John’s funeral, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, messages of support, provided food, and offered kindness and comfort during this difficult time.

A special word of thanks is extended to the ambulance crew who attended John, and to the doctor’s , nurse’s and staff of Craigavon Area Hospital for the care, compassion and professionalism shown to John and to our family.

Sincere thanks to Monsignor Curry who celebrated John’s Requiem Mass, to the grave diggers who prepared John’s final resting place, to Ciara Fox for the beautiful music and singing which added so much meaning to the funeral service, and to Kieran Kirk Funeral Director’s for their guidance, professionalism and compassionate support throughout the funeral arrangements.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped in any way during the wake, funeral and the day’s surrounding John’s passing. Your kindness, generosity and support were a great source of comfort to us.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone indivivually, please ccept this acknowledgment as a token of our heartfelt appreciation. John is deeply missed and lovingly remembered every day by his children, Rebecca, Rachel and James John, his beloved grandchildren, Croiadh and Cathan, and the entire family circle.

John’s month mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 20th June 2026 at 6.30pm in St. Mary’s Church Dunamore.
