McEVOY Dr Francis Joseph (Joe) (Downpatrick) (Retired Lecturer at St Mary’s College, Belfast). Died peacefully on September 3, 2026 at the Downe Hospital with his family in attendance. Much loved husband of the late Colette and devoted father to Richard (Mandy), Frank, Elizabeth (Brian), Dan (Celeste), Nora (Michael), John (Donna) and Colm (Claire). Much loved grandfather to Emilie, Katie, Cameron, Aoife, Alex, Matthew, Danny, Olivia, Manus, Samuel and Lucie, great grandfather to Oscáir and Albie.

Funeral from his late residence, 7 Kilbride Road, Downpatrick on Sunday September 6th at 12noon for 12.30pm Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Downpatrick and burial afterwards in Struell Cemetery. Friends are welcome to call at Joe’s home all day Friday and Saturday until 7.00pm. St Padre Pio pray for him. Very deeply regretted by his entire family circle.
