McGARRIGLE Aidan – Born in Glasgow, Scotland, on Aug 26, 1939, Aidan passed away peacefully at the age of 83. Formerly of Meenashesk, Strabane, Tyrone.

Predeceased by his daughter Adrienne and siblings Kieran and Cathal, he leaves behind his sweetheart and wife, Maura and his children Mark, Paula, Juanita (Lutz), Corinna (Barry); his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a Chemical Engineer and a talented musician in guitar, clarinet, saxophone, and his velvety singing voice.

He was a strong, fun-loving, meticulous man – a wonderful husband and parent, full of joy and mischief. He is remembered with a light in his bright blue eyes and a smile on his face. He was always the first to play with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whether that was in the yard or over a game of chess. Always seeking knowledge, he had a strong passion for history and film and photography. Aidan was known for his great sense of humor and well-known laugh throughout the community, and his desire to make the best of each situation continues to inspire his children. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Mass and celebration of life will be held at St. Albert Parish. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the St. Albert Food Bank. Funeral at the St. Albert Parish, Alberta, Canada at 10:15 am (Mountain Time) Dec 2, 2022.
