Sorry to only just learn of this sad news on Facebook. My deepest sympathy to Helen’s family and Jonathan, as well as all her many friends. Helen and I completed our BSc (Hons) together. We reconnected when she agreed to be External Examiner for my PG programme in UCC which was sadly cut short. I am so grateful, and feel privileged, for the couple of years we got to reconnect. Helen was such a lovely person, very pragmatic yet positive and with such good humour – which will be missed. Michèle Hughes
