The family of the late Frances McGinley would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with them on their recent loss of a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Thank you to the carers who attended to her, Dr Thompson and all the staff at Foyleside Family Practice, the hospital at home team, and everyone for the care Frances received.

Thank you to everyone that called to our home, sent mass cards, sympathy messages, helped out at the wake and all who attended the funeral.

Thank you to Fr Sean O’Donnell and Fr Stephen Ward for celebrating a beautiful requiem Mass, to Isobel and Sinead for the beautiful music. Thanks to Fr Michael Canny and all the priests who visited the wake.

Thanks to W J O’Brien & Son funeral directors for the caring and dignified way in which they carried out our mother’s funeral arrangements.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt gratitude.

Frances’ month’s mind Mass will be at 7.30pm on Monday 4th November in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road, Waterside Derry.

McGINLEY (Nee McCarron) Frances, 7th October 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Dessie, 5 Derryview Terrace, Waterside, loving mother of Brian, Gerry, Dessie, Donna, Martina, Fiona, Kevin and Tony, cherished daughter of the late Frank and Margaret McCarron, a much loved mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear sister of Maureen (McCarron), Bernie (Browne) Renee (Nash), and the late Georgina, Don and Ann. Will be sadly missed by the entire family circle and friends.

Her remains will be reposing in her home from 6 pm on Monday. Funeral from there on Wednesday 9th October 2024 at 12.30 pm for 1 o’clock Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s cemetery, Ardmore.

Jesus I trust in You. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her. Saint Joseph, patron of the dying, pray for her.
