Seamus McGLONE

Date of Death: Sunday 28th April 2024 Town: Dromore
Date of Death: Sunday 28th April 2024

We the family of the late Seamus wish to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Seamus was a widely respected member of the community and a dearly loved father, father- in-law, grandfather, brother, brother- in-law, uncle and friend.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass or Sympathy Cards, Flowers (or donations in lieu) and to those who left messages online or via social media. Thank you to those who attended the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass. Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us in so many ways to grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Canon Patrick Mac Entee and Fr. Denis Dolan for their spiritual support and Fr. Dolan for the very comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy especially the readers, Fionnuala Colton and Harmonise for the beautiful and very reverent music and song.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional way the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravediggers Liam and Niamh for preparing Seamus’s final resting place. Our thanks also to Sheenagh of Bumble Bee Garden, Dromore for the beautiful floral tribute and to the catering ladies in St. Patrick’s Hall for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.

Finally, we send our grateful thanks to all the health professionals who helped with Seamus’ care both at home and in Hospital, especially the doctors and staff from Dromore Surgery, local district nurses and the medical and caring teams of Wards 2 and 8, Southwest Acute Hospital Enniskillen. We are very grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to Seamus and for all your help with his care.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Seamus is ever loved and sadly missed; may his gentle, generous soul be granted eternal rest. Seamus’ Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Davog’s Church, Dromore, Co. Tyrone on Saturday 8th June at 7pm. Our Lady pray for him.
