The family of the late Vera Mc Kavanagh wish to express their sincere thanks to all who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. Thanks to all who attended the funeral, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, visited the family home or helped in any way.
A special thanks to Fr Kingsley Idoghor for his spiritual support and guidance and celebrating the requiem mass.
To Andrea Begley for the music and singing, words can’t express how beautiful your accompaniment made to mum’s funeral service.
Sincere thanks to McAlinden & Murtagh funeral services for their professional and dignified way the funeral arrangements were carried out, also the support given to our family throughout this sad occasion.

Thank you to the Doctors and staff of Wynne Hill Surgery Lurgan, the Doctors and staff of the Haematology Ward CAH, the Acute Care Team , the Lurgan District Nursing Team and the Marie Curie night team for all their compassion and support which enabled us to care for mummy at home.
For everyone who kindly donated to The Northern Ireland Air Ambulance either at the wake or after you helped raise £487.53.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Mummy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 17th January 2025 at 7pm in St Peter’s Church Lurgan.
McKAVANAGH (nee Tallon) Vera, (Castor Bay Road, Lurgan, formerly of Derrymore, Gawleys Gate), passed away December 17, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Vera, beloved wife of the late Sean and a cherished mother of Kevin, Eilish, Ita and John, loving nanny of Ciarán, Orla, Aisling, Eimear, Maeve, Conor and Sarah, a dear mother in law to Bronagh, Paul and Kenny, daughter of the late Jack and May Tallon and a dear sister of Ethna, Mary and the late Kathleen, Seamus, Anne and John.
Vera will repose at the family home, 82 Castor Bay Road, which will be strictly private. Family members and close friends are welcome to call and pay their respects on Wednesday from 1:00pm.
Funeral on Friday at 12:45pm to St. Peter’s Church, Lurgan where Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 1.30pm. Burial afterwards in the St. Colman’s Cemetery. Our Lady of Lourdes pray for her.
Always loved and remembered by her sorrowing family and the entire family circle.
