Date of Death: Thursday 9th January 2025 Town: Armagh
Date of Death: Thursday 9th January 2025

We, the family of the late Katie Rose McKeown wish to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks for the kindness, sympathy and support shown to us with the recent bereavement of our precious and much loved daughter Katie Rose.
Our sincere gratitude to family, friends, neighbours and the wider community who called to our home, attended the wake and funeral. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people/local businesses who brought or sent food, helped make tea, sent mass and sympathy cards, messages or gave donations to Angel Wishes in lieu of flowers. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
We have been overwhelmed and touched by the number of messages, comments on social media and tributes paid to Katie Rose. These have been a source of comfort to our family at this difficult time.
A special word of thanks to Fr Barry Matthews for the beautiful Requiem Mass, Caoimhe Loughran Music and the instrumentalists for the beautiful music, St Patrick’s Primary School, St Catherine’s College Armagh, St Colmcille’s GFC, Grange for their dignified guard of honour.
Also a thank you to Grange Bus Hire who very kindly provided a shuttle bus to help with car parking arrangements at the funeral. Thank you to the Ryandale for the their refreshments after the funeral.
A special thanks to Katie Rose’s Consultant,
Dr A McCarthy, doctors, nurses and the entire medical staff from the Haematology/Oncology Department, RHSCB for their outstanding care and attention to Katie Rose for almost seven years.
We would also like to say a special thank you to the Children’s Community Nursing Team and the diabetic specialist team, for their incredible support and ongoing dedication to Katie Rose. Also a special word of thanks to everyone who helped to support us in the final 6 weeks that we cared for Katie Rose at home, our Carers, MacMillan Nurses and the Community Palliative Care Team.
We would also like to thank the Doctors & staff at Abbey Court Practice Armagh, Gordons Chemist Moy for their much valued ongoing support too.
Finally sincere thanks to Martin Kelly Funeral Directors for their genuine warmth, compassion, support and guidance and for the dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.

As it is impossible for us to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a token of our family’s sincere appreciation.
Katie Rose’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place in St Colmcille’s Church, Knockaconey Road, Grange on Friday 7th February at 7.30pm.
Safe in the arms of the angels.
