Date of Death: Friday 1st December 2023

We, the family of the late Rowan McKeown, loving husband to Wendy, devoted father to James, wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love and support shown to us during our recent bereavement.
Our heartfelt thanks go to all our family, friends, neighbours, colleagues and extended family circle who assisted during the wake and to all those who sent gifts, floral tributes, sympathy cards, messages, donated to Life & Time and to all who took the time to attend Rowan’s wake and funeral, locally, nationally and internationally. We are feeling both blessed and overwhelmed by the response to Rowan’s passing.
Go raibh maith agaibh to Fr Des and Fr Seamus for your guidance and comforting support.
Thank you to the Emergency SHSCT Ambulance Service for your commitment, professionalism, dedicated care, and devotion. The staff of DHH ED, and RVH ICU…… Theresa McGonagle, Dr McGinley and the wider team at RVH ICU, thank you isn’t sufficient.
Sincere thanks to the Boards of Governors, staff and pupils of Dromintee Primary School and St Patrick’s Primary School, Newry, who provided Guards of Honour at the funeral. Rowan was deeply invested in both schools and the respect you have shown him is deeply appreciated.

The music at the funeral service was outstanding. Go raibh míle maith agaibh a chairde, Peter Benson, Stephen Clarke, Sinead Nutley, Matthew McGrath….Rowan would have loved it!
Sincere thanks to the Whistledown Hotel who provided the meal after the funeral. Cathal, Catherine and staff were outstanding in the INF in Rostrevor. Sheila, Miceal, Richie and team….Go raibh míle maith agaibh. You are true friends.
Finally sincere thanks and appreciation to Cathal and Méabh from McAnulty’s Funeral Directors for your caring, dignified and professional support throughout the wake and funeral. Thank you for your empathy and kindness.
