Date of Death: Wednesday 8th February 2023

Wife Sue, daughters Elaine, Rhonda, Margot, Arlene and the entire family circle of the late James R.I.P. wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.

A special thank you to Fr. McDermott C.C. for his pastoral visits, spiritual support, guidance and celebrating the beautiful, personal Requiem Mass.

The family wish to especially thank the kind relatives, friends, neighbours and members of the wider community who supported them during the wake and funeral. Thank you to those who telephoned, messaged, posted online tributes, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, floral tributes or made donations in lieu of flowers to Chest, Heart & Stroke. Thanks to The Cosy Café and everyone who provided refreshments for the wake, and to those who helped in any way. Thank you to the Manor Kilrea for the after-funeral refreshments.

The family were overwhelmed with the huge support from people who gathered along the route to the Church, and attended from near and far for the funeral, they are truly grateful.

Sincere gratitude to Dr McGurk, Dr McCormack, Dr McAuley and the staff of Kilrea Health Centre for their care, kindness and dedication over the last number of years. An incredibly special note of thanks to all the staff of MAU Causeway Hospital, in particular Dr Farooq for his tenacity, devotion and medical expertise in treating James and to HCA Caolan Smyth whose care stood out as exceptional. Appreciation is extended to the various ambulance crews involved in James’ care, to the staff of Mid-Ulster Hospital Rehab unit, and to any staff who provided compassionate care in Antrim Area hospital.

Thanks to Moira Crawley for the beautiful music, the church sacristans and Wishy Drain who prepared the grave.

The family would also like to express their gratitude to McKiernan and Sons, Funeral Directors for the professional, compassionate and dignified manner in which they carried out and guided them through all aspects of the funeral arrangements. They are truly grateful to Michael Óg & Gregory for their personal attention.

The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
