Date of Death: Thursday 7th October 2021 Town: Ballymoney
Date of Death: Thursday 7th October 2021

The family of the late William Joseph (Willie) R.I.P. wish to express our sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.

We appreciate the thoughtfulness of everyone who sent letters, sympathy cards and Mass cards, telephoned, texted or posted messages on social media. We would also like to thank all those relatives and friends who attended Dad’s funeral or watched online and those who gathered along the route to the church to pay their respects. A particular word of appreciation is due to the large group who were unable to enter the church due to the pandemic restrictions but who maintained a vigil outside for the duration of the service.
A special thank you to Fr. Damian McCaughan P.P. for the spiritual support he provided to Dad in Causeway Hospital and for celebrating the uplifting Requiem Mass.

Thanks also to the readers Conlaith, Claire and Sarah, to Gerard, Daniel and Claire for the beautiful singing and music and to Aidan for preparing the grave.
We are very grateful to McKiernan & Sons for the helpful, dignified and professional manner in which they carried out all the funeral arrangements.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Cara Private Residential Home, Rasharkin for their exceptional care of Dad during the last eighteen months. That he was being so well looked after during all the pandemic restrictions brought us great peace of mind. Thanks also to the staff of the Emergency Department and to the Rehabilitation Unit Causeway Hospital for the care provided to Dad during the last month of his life and for facilitating his very peaceful passing.
Finally thank you to those who donated in lieu of flowers to Dad’s chosen charities.

The month’s mind Mass for Willie will be celebrated on Friday 5th November at 7pm in the Church of Our Lady & St. Patrick, Ballymoney.
