Connor McNEILL
The family of the late Connor Mc Neill, wish to express our deepest appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with us in our recent loss.
While we continue to grieve the loss of a devoted and amazing Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend, and fellow Gael the outpouring of support shown to us at this heart breaking time will help us through the difficult times, days and months ahead.
A special thanks goes to all the emergency services and all who attended the scene of the accident to help Connor in a dignified and compassionate manner and to ensure the safety of Lucy and Ollie. May they continue to have kind hearts and gentle hands.
To our kind relatives, friends, neighbours, members of the wider community and St John’s Camogie Club who helped us during this difficult time from providing the hospitality to the many visitors during the wake, helped in the house and for the support and comfort they gave to us, we are truly grateful.
To those who called at our family home, sent mass or sympathy cards, gave donations, sent messages of condolence and to those who attended Connor’s funeral, thank you, your words and support have been such a comfort to us.
A sincere thanks to Joe Cunning and Cunning Funeral Directors for their outstanding professionalism and the dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and for all their help and support during the wake and funeral.
To Father Anthony Fitzsimons for attending the scene of the accident to pray for Connor, his spiritual support, guidance and for the beautiful celebration of Requiem Mass.
To John Mulvenna, Sheenagh Black, Mark Cairns and Eugene O’Dornan, thank you for providing the beautiful music during the Requiem Mass.
To our friends, family and club members who contributed to making Connor’s funeral mass so special – we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Lastly, there are not enough words to fully express our heartfelt thanks to Shane Uì Nèills GAC. As a club you united together for Connor and our family and ensured every aspect of the wake was taken care of so we had precious time to spend with Connor during his last days at home. We as a family are so proud and privileged that “his boys in blue” were there shoulder to shoulder to honour him and escort him on his final journey.
Since we cannot thank everyone individually we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation and thanks.
Connor’s month’s mind Mass will be celebrated on the evening of Friday 7th June, at 7.30pm in St. John the Evangelist Church, Carnlough.
