The family of the late Nan McQuilken would like to express their heartfelt thanks for the kindness and support shown to them during the recent passing of their dearly loved mum. Sincere thanks to all who sent cards and messages, or attended the funeral service or simply held us all in their thoughts during this difficult time. Thank-you also to anyone who donated to our mum’s chosen charity. Thank-you to Rev James Hyndman for conducting the funeral and for all his care. Thank-you to Father Nideesh Varghese for his support. A special thanks to Tom Kimber for his British Sign Language enabling Hugh to be included in the service. Thank-you to Ratheane Care Home. Special thanks to all the staff of Elm Suite for the care and kindness shown to our mum and also to us as a family. Thank-you also to the district and hospice nursing team along with Dr Clements of Lodge Health. To the Lodge Hotel, thank-you for your warm hospitality after the funeral. A special word of thanks to Hugh Wade & Son for all the support, guidance and professionalism throughout.

While we wish we could thank everyone in person we hope this message conveys our heartfelt appreciation at this sad time.

McQUILKEN (nee Cox) Annie (Nan) – 13th April 2025, peacefully at Ratheane Nursing Home, Coleraine, formerly of The Rope Walk, Coleraine. Dearly loved wife of the late Hugh and much loved mother of Sandra, Hugh, Ronnie and the late Alan; loving mother-in-law of Des and Donna, much loved granny and great-granny.

House strictly private. Graveside Service at Coleraine Cemetery on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations, if wished, for Jordanstown the Northern Ireland School and Centre of Excellence for Children who are Deaf or Visually Impaired, c/o Hugh Wade and Son, 3 Upper Abbey Street, Coleraine, BT52 1BF or online at www.hughwadefuneraldirectors.com.
