Kathleen MEEHAN (nee Cushenan)
We, the family of the late Joseph Meehan and Kathleen Meehan (née Cushenan), Willow Grove Newry, wish to express our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us during our recent sad bereavement of both our parents, who died 4 weeks apart.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to all relatives, friends, neighbours, who called at the family home, travelled from far and wide, sent Mass Offerings, sympathy cards, floral displays, private messages, phone calls, and all those who showed respect.
Special thanks to our family, friends and neighbours who provided food and refreshments during both wakes.
Thank you to the nurses and doctors in the HDU ward in Daisy Hospital for caring so attentively for our Daddy.
Our deepest appreciation also goes to the nurses and staff of Rockfield Nursing Home Newry, for their compassionate and professional care for Mummy in her short time there. Especially Patricia McMahon, who also served Eucharistic Ministerial Duties during our Mothers Funeral. Thank you to Enable Care who cared for Mummy so attentively over the last two years.
A Special word of thanks to Fr. Alphonsus Chukwunenye for calling to the house and the nursing home, to give Mummy a beautiful blessing. Fr. Alphonsus carried out both Funerals beautifully and reflected on both Mummy and Daddy’s life in the Requiem Mass offering. Also, thanks to Canon John Kearney for calling to the family home and offering comfort and support. A special thanks to soloists Amber Dixon and Kayla Lennon for their beautiful and enchanting singing and organist Doreen Finnegan. Also, thanks to Padraig Rooney who played the bag pipes so beautifully at the Chapel and also at Daddy’s graveside, it was a heartfelt tribute to our Father.
We would also like to thank Charles Digney Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified way they carried out both funerals, and for the beautiful flowers and Mass Booklets they provided.
It is impossible for us to personally thank everyone, but please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our family’s sincere thanks and appreciation. May they both Rest In Peace.
We extend our warmest welcome to you to join us at Mummy’s months mind Mass which will be held in Newry Cathedral on Saturday 5th March at 6pm.
