Date of Death: Sunday 16th October 2022

Marina and Pauric, together with the Mohan and McCluskey families, wish to thank most sincerely all those who sympathised and supported us through our tragic loss of Barry. To everyone who attended the wake and funeral, sent cards, letters and floral tributes to share their condolences, we extend our deep appreciation.

A heartfelt thanks to Dominic, Sean and Liam from Muldoon Funeral Directors for their dignified, professional and personal service. Their guidance and support will never be forgotten.

We are forever indebted to Gerard, first to the scene of Barry’s accident. His kindness and the peace of mind that he has since given to us will always be remembered. Thank you to the emergency services who attended the scene of the accident for their professionalism, discretion and support.

To the lads in All Folk’ d up, Barry’s wider music circle, techpro and crew, the videographer (TMM) and in particular to Matthew Jordan we extend our sincere thanks.

To Christina, Sandra, Alisa, Paddy, Daniel, James, Ciarán, Danny and Ryan – we will be forever grateful for the solace and comfort of the beautiful music during Barry’s funeral Mass.

Thank you to Aine and Katie, Barry’s young nieces for the blessing of their beautiful and moving harp duet.

We gratefully acknowledge Very Rev Cathal Deveney PP and Very Rev Canon Noel McGahan PP, the readers, gift carriers and all involved in the comfort of Barry’s requiem Mass. A special thanks to Mairead for the fitting and beautiful reflection written about Barry. Thank you to Jim who led the way with his touching pipe music and to all who carried Barry on his final journey. Thank you to all who prepared Barry’s final resting place.

To cousin Damien, his colleague Hugh and the Errigal Contracts team, we extend a sincere thanks for the invaluable support during the wake. To our relatives, friends and the businesses who provided refreshments and practical support during the days of the wake we are deeply appreciative.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to the staff and children of the many local schools and Aghaloo O’Neill’s GAA for their uplifting and dignified Guard of Honour. Further appreciation is extended to Aghaloo O’Neill’s for their stewarding and support during the wake and funeral. Thank you to the musicians who provided the poignant graveside tribute to Barry, all those already mentioned and especially to Michael and Paddy Buckley for their contribution.

We deeply appreciate the very special and impromptu session at Barry’s bedside. Thank you to those who shared this special and comforting moment which we will always treasure.

Thank you to Aughnacloy Community centre for the refreshments following Barry’s funeral and to Daly’s bar for providing the perfect venue for the session to mark the occasion. Thank you to all the musicians who took part. We gratefully acknowledge the many people who travelled the length and breadth of Ireland, Manchester, Birmingham and further afield to be with us to say goodbye to Barry. Your presence was of great comfort.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we ask that this acknowledgement is taken as a sincere token of our deepest appreciation.

Barry’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held on Thursday 17th November at 7pm in St. Mary’s Church, Aughnacloy. Tea and refreshments following in Barry’s home
