Date of Death: Thursday 22nd February 2024 Town: Pomeroy
Date of Death: Thursday 22nd February 2024

We the family of the late Alice Molloy (nee Morris) wish to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to all those who supported and sympathised with us on the death of our dear mother. We are thankful to our neighbours, friends and family who assisted throughout the wake and funeral. To the businesses and all who brought food, gave sympathy and mass cards, floral tributes and posted messages on social media. We appreciate our relations that travelled distances to be with us.

A special word of appreciation to Mary and Mairead for their tender care to mum. We were blessed to have Father Moore and Dr McAlister with us, during mum’s final moments which was so comforting. We would like to thank the doctors and staff at Ardmore surgery, McAleer’s Medical Hall Pomeroy and Beragh District nurses who gave mum such excellent care.

We offer thanks to the undertaker John Donaghy for the care, compassion, and the exceptional organisation of mum’s funeral arrangements. We are eternally grateful. Thank you to Kate McAleer funeral undertaker and Peter Murphy for their dignified manner which they carried out mum’s final journey.  Kate your ongoing support is much appreciated. Also, thank you to Sean Rafferty for preparing mum’s final resting place.

Thank you to Stephen Mallon for the beautiful flowers and KC Marquees.

Thank you dearly to Father Moore P.P. for your faithful visits to mum, your beautiful words and comforting guidance during mum’s funeral mass and continued support. To the priests that called at the family home Father Montague, Father McAnenly and Canon McGahan and a special word of thanks to Father Barney McAleer for the special tribute to mum in the Molloy’s old homestead. To our dear friend and neighbour Dean Kenneth Hall for being with us during mum’s wake and funeral which was a special touch.

Thank you to Claire McCartan and her accompanist Noelle Toner for the beautiful singing and music. To the Sacristan and Eucharistic Ministers.

Thank you to Maria Corrigan and staff for the beautiful meal served after mum’s funeral mass and Denis Devlin of the Cavanakeeran Community Committee for the use of Pomeroy hub.

The guard of honour provided by mum’s grandchildren and great grandchildren was a fitting tribute. Mum’s passing is truly the end of an era at the Molloy homestead. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deep appreciation. Mum’s Months Mind mass will take place at the Church of the Assumption Pomeroy on the 21st March at 7.30pm
