Charlie (Boots) NIXON

Date of Death: Tuesday 16th January 2024 Town: Derry
Date of Death: Tuesday 16th January 2024

Following the death of my son, Charlie (Boots) Nixon, I would like to acknowledge the support and practical assistance offered by family, neighbours and friends through a difficult and stressful time.
I would like to thank (Sean) Carr Family Funeral Directors who provided a professional service with immediate accommodation of family wishes.
To my brother Frank Jordan and his wife Pauline who provided practical and moral support every day.
For the girls who provided catering assistance in my home and to Silver St, Studio 2, Hegarty’s Butchers, Daly’s and the Ballymac Frier and all those who provided food – thank you for your generosity.
Also, to Fr Kevin Mulhern with music from the Long Tower Folk Group & Damian Nixon and all the readers and gift bearers for making the funeral mass a special one.
Charlie had many friends from the catering and motorcycle fraternities whose presence and well wishes were very welcome.

A very special thanks goes to all of the motorcyclists whose ‘final salute’ cavalcade provided a very emotional and touching farewell.
Finally, to the hundreds of people who attended both the wake and service, my heartfelt thanks comes with genuine appreciation for all your cards and words of condolence which continue to give me and my family much comfort though this very difficult time.
Thank you all.Pamela Nixon
