It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Martin O’Connell, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on 4th December 2024. Late of 37 Elmwood Terrace and formerly of 44 Phillip Street. May he rest in peace.

Beloved son of the late Michael and Eva. Loving brother of Moira, Eileen, Noel, Michael, Peg and Monica. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends.

Martin’s remains will be reposing at his nephew Christy’s residence, 2 Glenwood, Lowry’s Lane from 5pm this afternoon, Thursday 5th December. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday 7th December at 9:20am for 10am Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
