O’CONNELL (nee Smyth) Kathleen, peacefully at Culmore Manor Care Home on 19th April 2026.

Formerly of 50 Grainan Drive. May she rest in peace. Beloved wife of the late Brendan. Devoted mother of Adrian, Brendan Jr, Mary, Kevin, John, Christine and David. Loving grandmother and great-grandmother to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dearest sister of Martha. A much loved mother-in-law and aunt. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle and friends.

Kathleen’s remains will be reposing at her son Adrian’s home, 79 Springvale Park, Foyle Springs from 6pm this evening, Sunday 19th April. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday 21st April at 9:20am for 10am Requiem Mass in St. Brigid’s Church, Carnhill. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. The wake house will be private from 10pm until 11am.
