Date of Death: Sunday 29th December 2024

We the family of the late Dermott O’Hara would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us on the recent bereavement of our dearly beloved daddy.
To all who came to the wake, attended the funeral, telephoned, sent mass and sympathy cards, your support has been invaluable. We greatly appreciate and thank everyone who helped at our home during the wake.
Sincere thanks to Fr Francis O’Hagan for the beautiful Requiem Mass, and to Fr Eamon McDevitt, Fr Gerald Hasson and Msgr Brian McCanny who assisted.
To the District and Marie Curie nurses, carers, GPs, Foyle Hospice community team and staff at Altnagelvin Hospital who cared for daddy with kindness, compassion and dignity, we are eternally grateful to each and every one of you. Thanks also to the staff of Gormley’s Chemist for all your support.
Many thanks to our readers Turlough O’Kane and Stephen Wood, to musicians Liam and Jeanette Kelly for providing the beautiful music, the volunteers at Bethany for the beautiful tea and refreshments, the church sacristans and to those who prepared the grave.
Sincere thanks also to WJ O’Brien Funeral Directors for the compassionate, respectful and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were made and carried out.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation for your help, kindness and support.
