Date of Death: Wednesday 26th February 2025

Ellen, Declan and the family circle of the late Brendan R.I.P. wish to express their thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.
A special thanks to Fr. Chris McDermott C.C. for his spiritual support, guidance and celebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass.
Thanks also to the Gribbin Girls for the music during the service and to the sacristans, the Marian Hall Committee for providing refreshments after the funeral and to Wishy Drain who prepared the grave.
We wish to thank the extended relatives, friends, neighbours and the wider community who supported us. Those who called at the home, messaged, sent cards, brought gifts, gave donations, gathered along the route to the church and attended the funeral.
Sincere appreciation to Pearses G.A.C. Kilrea who provided transport during the wake, organised car parking and for the guard of honour and to his good friends who visited regularly when he most needed their company and also enabled him to attend the matches or provided video coverage for him. We will be eternally grateful.
The family are especially grateful to Dr McGurk and Dr McKenna at Kilrea Health Centre, the district nurses, Enya the Hospice nurse and Dawn the Marie Curie nurse and carers and Martin, Donal and the staff at Shields Pharmacy Kilrea who enabled Brendan to remain at home and kept him as pain free as possible.
Special thanks to Dr Catherine Davison and Dr Gemma Corey and staff at Laurel House Antrim. Mr Novak Causeway Hospital and Ms Jones and Mr Kane at Mater Hospital and all who cared for Brendan during his 5 year battle with cancer.
Final thanks to Gregory, Michael-Og and all at McKiernan & Sons Funeral Directors for the professional, compassionate and dedicated manner in which they carried out and guided us through all aspects of the funeral arrangements.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

Brendan’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 4th April at 7.30pm in Drumagarner.
