Date of Death: Sunday 11th February 2024

We the family of the late Joseph (Joe) O’Kane dearly beloved son, grandson, nephew, brother, uncle and cousin wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us through our recent bereavement.

We would like to thank all our extended family, neighbours, friends and also the local businesses who provided us with support and care throughout the wake and funeral, brought food, posted tributes online, sent flowers, called and sent mass cards we greatly appreciated all the kindness and support we received during this difficult time.

Thanks to everyone who attended Joseph’s funeral Mass and burial or followed the Mass on the live stream your presence brought great comfort to the family. A special thanks to Father Doherty and Father O’Doherty who concelebrated the Requiem Mass and burial where they captured details of his short life perfectly. Thank you to the Sacristan, Eucharistic Ministers and all those who participated in the funeral liturgy. And thanks to the Gribbin girls for the beautiful singing.

We thank Watty Grahams Glen GAA club and the staff for the kindness and generosity they showed us for the use of their equipment and use of the hall to provide refreshments after the funeral Mass.

We also wish to thank Michael and Nicholas Gormley of J. A. Gormley Funeral Directors Maghera & Coleraine for their professional and dignified support over the bereavement and also the way they carried out all funeral arrangements and a word of thanks also to the grave diggers for the preparation of Joseph’s final resting place.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our sincere thanks.

Joseph’s months mind Mass will be held on Friday 8th March at 7.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Glen.
