We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Ellen (Helen) O’Kane (née Douglas) peacefully at Cornfield Care Centre on the 29th of September 2024, may she rest in peace. Late of 7 Priory Lane, Dungiven, Co Derry.

Beloved wife of the late William ’Billy’ R.I.P. Loving mother of Gabriel (Mary), Liam (Geraldine), Declan (Sue), Adrain (Eileen), Fintan (Jacqueline) and the late Sharon R.I.P. Devoted grandmother of Conall, Rory, Eimear, Ronan, Tiernan, Aoife, Caoimhe, Ryan, Bridgid Niamh, Cara, Cillian, Cahan, Shay Cliona and baby Finn R.I.P. Great grandmother of Aoibhe, Cliadhna, Shea, Daire and Saoirse. Daughter of the late William and Annie Douglas R.I.P (Drumsurn) and dear sister of Jean McGonigle (Micky) and the late Richard Douglas R.I.P (Margaret), Philomena Devlin R.I.P(Eamon) and Willie Douglas R.I.P (Veronica) Very deeply regretted by the entire family circle.

You are welcome to pay your respects at McLaughlin’s Funeral Home (414a Ballyquin Road, Dungiven, BT47 4NQ) today – Sunday 29th of September from 6pm to 9pm, leaving the funeral home at 9pm to repose at her son Adrian’s home 51 Foxhill, Derry, BT47 2TN.

Funeral on Wednesday 2nd of October 2024 leaving from her son’s home at 10.15am for 11.30am Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick‘s Church Dungiven. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
