Maeve O'KANE (Nee Elliott)
We the family of the late Maeve O’Kane, would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those that reached out to us at the sad passing of our mother.
A special thank you to all the staff at Daleview nursing home. You gave Maeve the best two final years of life for which we will always be grateful. Your friendship, care, and love towards Maeve and the other residents does not go unnoticed.
We would like to extend our thanks to Dr Kielt and the Acute Care at Home Team who endeavoured to keep Maeve comfortable towards the end. A special thank you to Dr Carroll who was there for Maeve over the years offering empathy and ongoing support.
To Fr Patrick Lagan, Agnes, and Rose who brought Holy Communion to Maeve and the other residents, thank you for your continued commitment in attending the sick and elderly.
Special thanks to Fr Michael Canny for administering Maeve her Last Rites which meant so much to her, and for the beautiful Requiem Mass. To Ruth Corey, Ursula Cullen-Morrison and Robert Peoples, a huge thank you for the beautiful singing and music which greatly enhanced the liturgy.
We all, as a family, deeply appreciate those who visited our home during the wake, sent Mass cards, sent flowers, attended the funeral and helped us grieve. Thank you also to our extended family and friends who helped during the wake by serving tea to those that called to the house, giving the family members time to spend with them.
Your support was greatly appreciated.
We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to Kieran, Noleen and all those at WJ O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for their outstanding service.
The professional, compassionate and dedicated manner in which they carried out and guided us through all aspects of the funeral arrangements was greatly appreciated.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of the family’s deep appreciation.
