Date of Death: Monday 18th January 2021

The family of the late Peter Donaghy wish to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sympathised with us on our recent bereavement. Special thanks to Fr. O’Brien PP, Larne and Fr, Maginn Chaplain, Craigavon Area Hospital for attending to Peter’s spiritual needs.  Special thanks to Fr. Moore PP, Pomeroy for his support to us and the very fitting tribute he paid to Peter during the Requiem Mass.  Our thanks to all who participated in the Funeral Liturgy and our deepest gratitude to Andrea and Patrick for the beautiful singing and music.  Also to Fr. Paul Montague PP, Reaghstown, Fr. Declan Mulligan PP, Aghagallon and Fr. McArdle PP, Loop and Moneymore for their prayers.

Thanks to all who visited Peter at Craigavon Area Hospital and Loane House and to all who sent cards and letters to him when he was in Larne Care Centre.  We extend our appreciation to those who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, telephoned and text messages of sympathy.

We would like to thank those who due to current restrictions were unable to personally attend but lined the route, or stood at the Church.  We would like to convey our deepest gratitude to all the staff at the Stroke Unit, Craigavon Area Hospital, the emergency ambulance crew, Craigavon Area Hospital, Loane House Dungannon, Drapersfield Nursing Home Cookstown and Glenarm Unit, Larne Care Centre.  Also to the Doctor’s Surgery, Carrickmore who all cared for our brother Peter.

A special thanks to Brian for his help and support at a difficult time. Also to Martina for her beautiful music at the graveside.

We would like to acknowledge and thank Kate McAleer of McAleer Bros. Funeral Directors, Pomeroy for the sensitive, caring and dignified manner in which she carried out the funeral arrangements.

Due to Coronavirus restrictions the Month’s Mind Mass will be streamed live on the webcam from the Church of the Assumption, Pomeroy on Thursday February 18th (link available on this page).

As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of sincere gratitude to all. The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
