To the immediate and extended McLernon family, my wife Annie and I would like to offer our deepest sympathy to you on your very sad loss. We are the couple who, along with the community of Rock, organised Peter's 90th birthday party in 2022. Petey has had a special place in our hearts ever since we met for the first time on 22nd August 2021 at the Wheel Pump when we stopped on our motorbike (see photo). He opened his doors to us that day and we spent a memorable few hours with him drinking tea and sharing a few biscuits. We have visited him on a number of occasions since, most recently in the care home in Donaghmore. There simply was never enough time to spend with him. We are heartbroken that he is no longer with us. Please believe me when I say Peter touched the hearts of so many people in the biking community. My phone has been hopping with messages and stories of folk's encounters with the great man and every single one has the same theme, "Thank you Peter for your kindness, generosity and wisdom. We will all miss you terribly" May Petey rest in peace.
