We, the family of the late Peter Meenagh, would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our extended Meenagh and Harte family members, our friends and neighbours for their kindness, sympathy, support and generosity at this difficult time.

A special thank you to the staff at the Palliative Ward, Omagh, Ward 5 Altnagalvin Hospital, Altnagalvin Cancer Centre, Care Plus Community Carers, District Nurses, Palliative Nurses, Doctors, Carrickmore Health Centre and the Primary Care and Older people’s team for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Peter during his illness.

We are especially grateful to those who attended Peters wake, funeral, watched via webcam, sent mass cards and sympathy cards, flowers and who shared comforting words and memories.

A special thanks to Fr McCartan for the lovely requiem mass and to Caroline and Patricia Burns for the beautiful singing and music.

A special thanks to Fergal Farley, funeral Directors for his professionalism and compassion thoughout and to the gravediggers who prepared Peters final resting place.

A special thanks also to the Beragh Red Knights GFC who formed a guard of honour and organised and facilitated travel and carparking for the duration of the wake.

A huge thank you to everyone who generously donated their time and resources to help in any way. We unfortunately are unable to thank everyone individually but rest assured your kindness will not be forgotten.

Peters months mind mass will be celebrated on Sunday 1st December 2024 at 11.30am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception Beragh. All are welcome to join us in remembering and praying for Peter. Mass can be viewed via webcam also. St.Padro Pio pray for him.

MEENAGH Peter, Dervaghroy Drive, Beragh. 26th October 2024, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital

Peter RIP, beloved husband of Kathleen and loving father of Barry, Aisling, Sarah, Peter, Patrick and Claire. Caring brother of Briege (Rafferty), Owen, Pat, Seraphine (Hughes), Micheal, Leo, Dominic, Margaret (Crozier), Francis and Danny.

Funeral leaving his late residence on Wednesday the 30th October at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Beragh. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren Christopher, Daniel, Aoife, Eimear, Cliodhna, Conor, Caolan and Lily, brothers, sisters and large family circle. Our Lady Queen of Peace, pray for him.

Family time please the morning of the funeral.

Bus running to wake house from Beragh Chapel Carpark from 5.30pm, Monday and Tuesday evening.
