Pat POWER

Date of Death: Friday 27th August 2021 Town: Newry
Date of Death: Friday 27th August 2021

We, the family of the late Pat Power, would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us during the recent bereavement of our much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. To our family, friends, and neighbours, thank you for the kindness and generosity shown to us and your continued support over the past few weeks. Thank you to everyone for the touching messages we received, for the mass cards, the floral tributes and the significant donations to Alzheimer’s Research UK. You have brought us all great comfort.

A special word of thanks for those who cared for Pat with amazing professionalism and compassion – first & foremost Drs McKinley, McGuigan & King, their team in Cornmarket Surgery and McKeever’s Chemist for looking after him so well in his later years. Additionally, those who cared for him in the final weeks of his life: the Memory Services team in Bessbrook, the staff in Daisy Hill, the Acute Care at Home Team, District Nurses, Occupational Therapy, the physiotherapists, Ann’s Home Care, and finally, the Marie Curie team. We are so grateful for your dedication and expertise.

Our heartfelt thanks to Fr. Joseph Ralph and Fr. Liam McKinney for their spiritual support that meant so much to our family, for the beautiful funeral mass in celebration of Pat’s life, and to Janice Gribben for the lovely music. We would also like to extend our particular thanks to Pat and Jacqueline McGennity for their professionalism, care and compassion in the handling of the funeral arrangements.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation.

St Martin de Porres, pray for him.

Pat’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated on Saturday 25th September at 7.30pm in St Catherine’s Dominican Church Newry.
