Dr Joseph (Alan) PRESTON

The family of Joseph “Alan” Preston would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who supported and sympathised with us following Alan’s sudden passing. Alan was a precious husband, a dearly loved father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend and an adored papa.
We are so grateful for the support from all our family and friends who helped with the catering both before and during the funeral. Thank you to all who attended Alan’s Thanksgiving Celebration Service, visited our home and sent cards and messages. Thank you to those who gave donations to our chosen charities, thank you so much for your kindness.
We wish to thank the consultants, doctors and nurses in the Stroke Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion. Thanks to Dr Tim Huey, a very special neighbour and to Dr Hugh Finnegan at Tramways Medical Centre who looked after Alan for so many years with diligent care and compassion. Appreciation to Fleming and Cuthbert Funeral Directors for the very helpful and professional way they guided our family through all the funeral arrangements. A special thank you to the Rev Stuart Hawthorne who gave Alan and our family such wonderful support and comfort both before and after Alan’s passing and for conducting such an uplifting and personal Thanksgiving Service.
