Andrea and family would like give their heartfelt thanks to all who have been in touch following the loss of Ted, much loved husband to Ethna, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
Thank you to everyone who cared so well for him during his illness and especially the wonderful staff at Down Community Care, staff at Downe GP services, the nurses and doctors in the Downe Hospital and Strangford pharmacy.
We are very grateful for the support from all who attended his funeral, sent cards, private messages, visited the home and made donations to the Alzheimer’s Society.
A special thank you to close friends and family for all the support, care and love you brought to Daddy especially during his final years and to us since his death.
Thank you to the Father Aidan Brankin and Deacon Jackie Breen for their guidance and pastoral care.
Thanks also to Charles Rourke & Sons Funeral Directors for their expert guidance, support and professionalism.

Ted’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place at 6.30pm on Saturday 10th May in Stella Maris Church, Strangford.

RAFFERTY Ted April 6, 2025, peacefully at King’s Castle Nursing Home, Ardglass. Dearly beloved husband of the late Ethna, much loved father of Sean and Andrea, father-in-law of the late Jeremy and loving grandfather of Ciara, Thomas and Samuel. Dear brother of Elish and a cherished uncle. May he rest in peace.

Ted shall be reposing at his late home, 65 The Links, Strangford until removal on today Wednesday April 9th to Stella Maris, Star of the Sea Church, Strangford arriving at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass will be held on tomorrow Thursday April 10th at 9.30am. Interment afterwards in St Malachy’s Cemetery, Kilclief. St Anthony intercede for him.
