RAINEY John, called home 2nd January 2026 in his 90th year peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital with his loving family by his side. Late of Harwood Gardens, Carrickfergus. Dearly loved husband to Margaret. Loving and devoted dad or Iris, Janine, Ruth and the late David. Sons-in-law Mark, Herbie and Graeme. Proud granda to Claire, Joshua, Erin, Andrew and great-granda to Faith.

House private please. Friends and family are welcome to call at S & J Irvine’s Funeral Home, 31-35 Irish Quarter South, Carrickfergus, BT38 8BL to meet with the family on Tuesday 6th January between 2.30 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. or 6.00 p.m. – 8.00 p.m.

A Service of Thanksgiving for John’s life will be held in Carrickfergus Congregational Church on Wednesday 7th January 2026 at 2.00 p.m. followed by interment in Victoria Cemetery.

John will be loved and remembered always by the entire family circle.
