Bernadette (Bernie) REDMOND (née Duffy)

Date of Death: Friday 17th May 2024 Town: Cookstown
Date of Death: Friday 17th May 2024

The family of the late Bernie Redmond wish to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us throughout our recent sad bereavement.
Bernie was a widely respected member of the community and a dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister in law, aunt and friend.

We would like to acknowledge all of those who paid their respects in any way, for those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, donated flowers or who sent messages through social media. We appreciate all those who attended the wake at our family home and those who joined us at the funeral mass. Particular thanks to all relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us in so many ways to grieve as a family.
We thank the Reverend Father Boyle and Father Slater for their spiritual support and guidance and in particular, for the manner in which Fr Boyle conducted the Requiem Mass and allowed us to celebrate Bernie’s life. We thank all those who took part in the mass, especially the readers and Patrick Slevin and Margaret Anne Conlon for the beautiful music.
We send our grateful thanks to all the health professionals who helped Bernie deal with her MND diagnosis. We especially thank the District Nursing Team, the Doctors and staff at Stewartstown Health Centre, the Palliative Care Team and the Marie Curie Nurses.
We would like to thank Lavery Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the arrangements were carried out. Thank you to Michael McElhatton and all the staff at The Greenvale Hotel.

Bernie was and always will be greatly loved and will be sadly missed.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deep appreciation to all those who helped and supported us in any way.

Bernie’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Chapel, Cookstown on Saturday 15th June at 6pm.
