Elise, Brian and Paul (Wife & Sons) of the Late Diarmuid Riordan would like to acknowledge and thank you for the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us during our recent sad bereavement.

To our Family, Friends and Neighbours who sent Mass Cards, Sympathy Cards, messages, food, telephoned us and attended the Funeral we are truly grateful.

A special word of thanks to Professor Joe O’Sullivan, Dr Aidan Cole, Staff and Nurses Oncology Team, Professor Vicky Coyle, Staff and Nurses of the Belfast City Hospital for their professional dedication in caring for Diarmuid over the past ten years. Also a special word of thanks to Nurse Barbara Harvey and Nurse Joanne Todd, Belfast City Hospital for their support and kindness throughout Diarmuid’s illness.

To the Downpatrick District Nurses Team, GP’s and Staff at Struell Surgery, Dr Hazel Lamberton, Marie Curie Team, Lynda Bell NI Hospice, Shane O’Hare and Team at Strangford Pharmacy, for their help in comforting and attending to Diarmuid, this was very much appreciated.

To Fr John McManus, Stella Maris Church, Strangford for visiting and comforting Diarmuid in his last days and who celebrated Diarmuid’s Requiem Mass and for his comforting words of consolation to the family during the Requiem Mass and at the burial. To Christina Holland and Michael McMullan for the beautiful music and singing.

Thanks also to Martin and Team of Charles Rourke and Sons for their sensitivity and professionalism in conducting the Funeral arrangements and to the Lobster Pot for their hospitality.

Finally a special word of thanks goes to Tim, Jacqueline, Geralyn, Paul, Marcellus and Sinead for your help and support throughout this sad time, we are truly grateful.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation and thanks.

Diarmuid’s Months Mind Mass will take place on Sunday 31st October 2021 in St Malachy’s Church Kilclief.
