ROONEY (née McElroy) Ellen (Nellie) – 59 Mullaghfad Road, Coonian, Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone. Died Sunday 16th April 2023 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Hugh (R.I.P.). Devoted mother to Pat (R.I.P.) (Goretti), Mary Connolly (Marty), John (Carmel), Shamus (R.I.P.), Angela McCabe (Nick R.I.P.), Monica Goligher (Geoff), Eugene (Mary), Anne Kerr (Elvis), and Karen Montgomery (Colin).

A much loved grandmother and great-grandmother to her 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Ellen will repose at her late residence this evening (Sunday) from 3pm until 9pm and again tomorrow (Monday) from 3pm until 9pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 10:30 am to arrive at St Joseph’s Church, Coonian for 11 o’clock Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
