ROONEY Thomas Desmond (Dessie) Passed away suddenly 16th June 2026. Beloved son of the late Dessie, much loved brother to Sandra, Jacqueline, Martin, Donna, and the late Jim.

He will be sorely missed by the wider family circle and friends.

Dessie will be reposing at O’Kanes Funeral Home, 12 Portland Avenue, Newtownabbey, BT36 4ZL, telephone 02890 233133 from Friday 19th June, all visitors are welcome to call between the hours of 9.00am – 5.00pm (Monday to Friday) and Sunday 21st June between 2.00pm-4.00pm.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 23rd June at 1.00pm in St Mary’s Church, Whitehouse, Shore Road, Newtownabbey followed by burial at Carnmoney Cemetery at 2.00pm
