Rose McGEE (née Drummond)

The family of the late Rose McGee ( Cornamaddy, Pomeroy) wish to express their deep appreciation to all who supported them during their recent bereavement.
Our heartfelt thanks to all carers who supported Mum at home especially in the last few months, Tish, Orlagh, Bronagh , Geraldine, Megan, Siobhan and Ciara, for all their dedication, companionship and commitment to Mum along with the support of Shona McKeown (manager) and staff at Corkhill Innisfree Day Care.
To the doctors and staff of Ardmore Surgery, The Community Care Team, Memory Care Team, District Nursing, Marie Cure Care Team and the staff at Pomeroy Medical Hall for all they did for Mum especially in her last weeks.
We wish also to extend our sincere thanks to Denis Devlin who kindly organised chairs for the wake, to our neighbours, family and friends, and all who travelled long distance to call at the family home, and/or to attend Mums removal service and Mum’s funeral mass, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, messages, telephone calls and flowers.
Our sincere thanks and gratitude to Rev. Fr Moore P. P. for celebrating the beautiful requiem mass and for providing comfort to mummy during recent times.
To David, Sarah Jane and Eamonn McGarrity for providing the music at the funeral mass.
A special word of thanks to Kate McAleer, funeral director for her dignified and professional service.
To the grave diggers who prepared mummy’s final resting place.
To Geraldine O’Neill for providing refreshments after the funeral; to Ciara and Tish for helping with the funeral tea; to Galbally Community Centre for the use of their facilities.

Rose’s family invites you to join them as they observe her month’s mind with Mass celebrated in her memory in The Immaculate Conception Church, Altmore, on Wednesday 2nd July 2025 at 7.30pm.
McGee (Altmore) 4th June 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, Rose (neé Drummond) beloved wife of the late Packie RIP and cherished mother to Sean, Deirdre (Nugent), Terry, Phelim, Jacinta (McAlinden), Aileen, and Aine (Mitchell). Devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Much loved sister of Bernadette, Brendan and the late Patrick and Terence RIP.
Rose is reposing at home 40 Aughafad Rd. Cornamaddy, until removal tomorrow, Thursday, to be received in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Altmore for 7pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 2pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Our Lady of Knock pray for her.
Rose’s family respectively request that their family home remain private to family, close friends and neighbours.
Very deeply regretted by her sorrowing, sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, brother, nieces, nephews, cousins, entire family circle, neighbours and friends.
