Olive RYAN (née McAteer)

Date of Death: Wednesday 29th September 2021 Town: Warrenpoint
Date of Death: Wednesday 29th September 2021

The family of the late Olive Ryan would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with us during our recent sad bereavement.

Thank you to the many who could not attend the Funeral Mass but sent Mass Offerings, sympathy cards, phone calls, called at the house and sent messages of support and to those who stood respectfully outside the Church on the morning of the Funeral.

Thank you to those who donated to Macmillan Cancer Care. Our thanks also to Daisy Hill Hospital to the Doctors and Nurses who cared for her during the weeks previous to her death. A very special thank you to Dr. Ryan, Dr. Murphy and Dr. Murdock for their professional care, kindness, empathy and compassion shown whilst caring for Mum and also to the team at The Warrenpoint Surgery, particularly all the District Nurses, to the staff of Carlingford Lodge Care Home for caring for Mum and to Gordons Chemist for the provision of Mum’s medication.

Grateful thanks to Fr. Brendan Kearns who visited Mum whilst she was ill and for celebrating her Funeral Mass and for the graveside prayers. To Lorraine Matthews for the beautiful music and singing during the Mass and to Carrick Primary School for their Guard of Honour.

A very special thanks to Cathal McAnulty and his team for the compassionate, professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the Funeral Arrangements. Our thanks also to the Gravediggers, to Mourne Office Supplies for the beautiful Mass booklets and to Diamonds Restaurant for the refreshments after the Funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our family’s most sincere gratitude.

Olive’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 30th October at 7.30pm in Mary Queen of Peace Church, Warrenpoint.
