SANDS Sr Mary Maoila losa died on July 25th 2021, peacefully at St Joseph’s Nursing Home, Warrenpoint. Late of Convent of Mercy, Edward Street, Lurgan.

Daughter of the late Hugh and Mary Elizabeth Sands, Annaghbane, Donaghmore, Newry and much loved sister of May (Byrne), Bridie (Conlon), Kathleen (McGrath), John, Peter, Francis, Kieran and the late Madge (Daly), Seamus, Hugh, George and Gerald.

Sr Mary Maoil Iosa’s remains will be reposing in the Convent of Mercy, Catherine Street Newry. Sadly due to current government restrictions the Convent will remain private.

Requiem Mass for Sr Mary Maoil Iosa will be celebrated in St John’s Church, Glenn at 12 noon on Tuesday 27 July followed by burial at St Mary’s Cemetery, Barr. The Mass can be viewed by webcam on churchservices.tv

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by the Sisters of Mercy, Northern Province, her sisters and brothers and all her family circle.
