We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Joe Scanlon, peacefully at Altnagelvin hospital, surrounded by all of his loving family on 5th May 2023. Late of 6 Lenamore Gardens. May he rest in peace.

Beloved and much loved husband of Eileen. Devoted father of Sharon, Joseph, Katrina and Michael. Loving granda of Brian, Niall, Stephen, Jack, Kirstie, Aaron, Joseph, Adam, Jonah, Kayleigh, Luke, Michael and Ellie. A much loved great-granda of Faith, Brooke, Cohen, Rhea, Erica, Sam, Aoibhe and Olivia. Dearest brother of Dolores and the late Annie, Peggy, Collette and Abraham. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Joe’s remains will be reposing at his late family residence, 6 Lenamore Gardens from 7pm this evening, Friday 5th May. Funeral leaving from there on Monday 8th May at 9:20am for 10am requiem mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Wake House Private From 10pm until 12pm.
