Acknowledgement/Months Mind Mass
Jason Scruton died 14th April 2025.
We, the family of Jason would like to express our sincere thanks for all the support,compassion and sensitivity shown to us at the recent sudden passing of our much loved brother, uncle, nephew and cousin.
Our thanks to all who attended the house during the wake, who sent mass and sympathy cards, phoned and sent messages via social media, to all who sent floral tributes and brought food and refreshments to our home it was deeply appreciated by the whole family.
Special thanks to all the staff both past and present of Meadowbank Nursing home who cared for Jason over the past 20 years and also to all the staff of ward 26 Altnagelvin Hospital who looked after Jason and us so well during his time there.
A special thanks to Fr Gormley whose spiritual support was greatly appreciated during the wake and requiem mass, your lovely words about Jason were a great comfort to us .Also thank you to Erin Carlin and Eamonn Karran for the beautiful music during the mass ,it truly was a fitting tribute to our Jason.
To W J O Brien & Son undertakers we would like to thank you for your professionalism and the dignified manner in which you carried out the funeral arrangements.
And finally we would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to all our amazing family, to the Doherty and Maguire families especially Catherine, Joy and Marie and the wider family circle whose help and support we can always count on.
We trust that this acknowledgment will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation.
Jason’s month mind mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 13th May at 7.15 pm in Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty.
The death has taken place of the late Jason Scruton, April 14 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital following a short illness, Late of Anne’s Care Home, Trench Road and formerly of Marianus Park. Beloved son of the late Vic and Patsy and loving brother of Michelle Doherty, Shaun Scruton and the late Sandra Stewart. Will be sadly missed by Kieran, Anna, Stewarty, Rory, Aine, Patrick, the late Kieran, the extended family and all who knew and loved him.
Jason will be reposing at his sister Michelle’s home, 6 Farland Way, Hazelbank. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 12o’clock for 12.30pm Requiem Mass in Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
