Shane McCallan

McCallan, Shane (Drumnakilly Road, Carrickmore) RIP
We the family of Shane McCallan would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all who have sympathised with us on the very sad and sudden bereavement of a dear Son, Brother, Brother in law, Uncle, Cousin, Nephew and Friend.
To all of our family, friends and neighbours for the support compassion and generosity throughout his wake, we were overwhelmed by the kindness shown to us and will be forever grateful to each of you for navigating us through such a difficult time.
We would like to thank the first responders, paramedics and local doctors who attended to Shane on the morning of his death. We will never forget your efforts and the importance of the work that you do.
To the large crowds of people who gathered on the day of Shane’s funeral, to the guards of honour from friends, our local clubs An Charraig Mhor GFC and Eire og Hurling Club, we thank you.
To those who travelled long distances to attend his wake and funeral, sent mass cards, messages, flowers and for the beautiful tributes posted on social media, which demonstrated the high regard in which Shane was held, thank you. It gives us comfort knowing that Shane was loved and appreciated not only by ourselves but by those in our local community and further afield.
Our sincere thanks to Father Peter McAnenly PP, Damien Catherine and Aine Cullen, Declan Mc Keever and Helen Gormley for the beautiful music throughout his mass, which was very personal and comforting. To the alter servers, Eucharistic ministers, and Shane’s family members who participated in his funeral mass, we thank each of you.
A special word of thanks to Kelley Peadar and Ryan from Fox McCallan funeral directors, for the professional compassionate and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. To the gravediggers and those who prepared Shane’s final resting place, and to The Charm Inn and Patrician Hall for Refreshments following Shane’s funeral mass, we thank you.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our deepest appreciation and gratitude. The holy sacrament of mass will be offered up for your intentions.
