It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary (Maisie) Sharkey née Kerr, peacefully at home on 26th April 2025. Late of 55 Violet Street. May she rest in peace.

Beloved wife of the late John. Devoted mother of Geraldine, Adrian, Isobel, Paula and the late Marian and Gerard. Dearest mother-in-law of Michelle, Kieran, George and the late Mark. Loving granny of John, Declan, Emmett, Lauren, Ruairi, Shea, Vetuta and Marian. Precious great-granny of Ava. Dearest daughter of the late James and Mary Jane. A much loved sister of the late Francis and Shauney. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Maisie’s remains will be reposing at her late home, 55 Violet Street, from 3pm this afternoon, Sunday 27th April. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday 29th April at 11:30am for 12pm Requiem Mass in St. Columb’s Church, Chapel Rd. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore.
