Acknowledgement from the family of the late Brian Sloan (RIP)
We the family of the late Brian Sloan, his children Anthony, Bernarde, Margurite, Susan and Judith, his daughter in law Donna, Son in law’s Gerard, Paul and Colm. His cherished 13 Grandchildren and 6 great-grand children, would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who have sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement.
We extend a special thanks to our extended family, friends, neighbours and local businesses who’s care and support have meant so much to us. To those who travelled near and far to attend Brian’s wake and funeral, and to those who sent mass cards, letters, messages of condolence, brought food to the wake, we will forever remember your kindness.
We offer our deepest thanks to Father Jimmy Brown assisted by Fr Christie McIlwee for officiating a beautiful Funeral Mass, the musician and soloist Carmel Rice for the lovely singing and music.
We would like to thank Brian’s carer, healthcare professionals and emergency services who provided Brian with such dedicated and professional care.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Cuchulainn Gaels GFC for their lovely guard of honour and for their support with parking during the wake.
Finally, thank you to Heaney Keenan Funeral Directors for their compassion and professionalism with which they carried out Brians’ Funeral and to Jane Feehan of Inscape Flowers for the beautiful flower arrangements.
It is impossible for us to personally thank everyone, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our family’s sincere thanks and appreciation. May Brian Rest In Peace with Elizabeth his beloved wife. We extend our warmest welcome to you to join us at Brians’ months mind mass to be held in St Laurence’s Church Omeath on Sunday 23 February at 10am.
Daddy will be forever loved and sadly missed. May his kind and gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Brian, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (née Treanor), devoted father of Anthony, Bernarde, Margurite, Susan and Judith. Cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 6 great-grandchildren and much loved brother of Liam and Mary, and dear son of the late Willy John and Lily Sloan.
Brian’s remains will repose at his late residence, Lower Shore, Omeath, A91Y598 on Thursday and Friday from 12-9pm. Funeral on Saturday to arrive for 12 noon Requiem Mass in the Church of St Laurence, Omeath. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House strictly private on Saturday morning.
Brian will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sister, daughter-in-law Donna, sons-in-law Gerard, Paul and Colm, nephews, nieces, and his entire family circle and friends.
May he Rest In Peace.
