SMITH Dr William, died December 15, 2022 peacefully after a long illness.

Former senior civil servant and private secretary to the Stormont administration. Beloved husband of Mary and loving father of Rosie, Mondo, CJ, Anna, Tommy, Jamie and James. Devoted stepfather to Ben, Shauna, Matt and Amber. Adored grandfather to Leila, Neala, Llara, Isla and Fionn. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.

William’s remains will be reposing at O’Kanes Funeral Home, 116-118 Donegall Street, Belfast, BT1 2GX (Tel: 028 9024 3129) until Tuesday December 20th to arrive for a Service at St George’s Church, High Street, BT1 2AG at 11.00am. Committal afterwards in Milltown Cemetery. House Private.
